This comprehensive platform provides you with a flexible, modular, high-performance hardware and software platform that allows you to perform Functional and Load Tests on a wide range of interfaces in mobile networks, including GERAN, UTRAN, Packet and Circuit-switched Core Networks, IMS and even WiMAX.
- Comprehensive
A large number of software modules are available that allow individual protocol layers or complete network elements to be emulated for the purpose of functional and load testing. Test Applications include e.g. UTRAN functional and performance testing, Media Gateway testing, SGSN/GGSN capacity and load testing, IMS functional testing, SIGTRAN testing.
- Performing and Scalable
cPCI-based hardware platform allows the performance of functional and load test applications to be scaled in linear fashion, depending on the number of deployed interface boards. High-performance user plane traffic generation e.g. for HSPA functional testing, supports data rates up to 14.4 Mbps per line interface.
- Wide Range of Test Tools
The K1297-G35 provides tools for functional and load testing as well as monitoring applications used for functional/load test purposes. Monitoring applications include collection of statistics e.g. about successful / failed signaling procedures.

WiMAX Testing Solution
The biggest technical WiMAX testing challenges are related to the ASN, with the main focus on the base station (BS) and the RF technology. Signaling and payload which are physically transported on the air interface (R1) need to be traced and analyzed. To meet these challenges, Tektronix developed the first WiMAX Protocol Monitoring Solution for the Access Service Network (ASN) on the R1 and R6 interface.
