Iris User Management (Available with Version 7.10.1)

Description

The Iris User Management course teaches the fundamentals of using the Iris system to conduct Network Surveillance and Performance Monitoring. The student will learn how to use IrisView and its applications.  The course is comprised of lecture and hands-on exercises to reinforce key objectives. By the end of this course, the student will know how to launch Iris applications, perform session traces using Iris Session Analyzer (ISA), and perform traffic analysis using Iris Traffic Analyzer (ITA).

Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

• Launch Iris applications
• Identify how to user the ISA streamlined workflow menus
• Demonstrate how to request session traces
• Demonstrate how to customize the ISA GUI
• Demonstrate how to reset, save, and load an ISA filter
• Demonstrate how to export ISA captured session traces
• Demonstrate how to use the ITA GUI and landing page options
• Demonstrate how to use ITA to identify response time and network performance issues
• Describe how to use ITA to proactively monitor the network using alarms and drill-down to related ITA dashlets
